Edge protection profiles

AP produces innovatively and sustainably in Germany

Edge protection profiles protect edges and usually have a punched metal carrier. Our latest model of edge protection profiles has a plastic insert. The profiles are made of PVC, additionally we also extrude in materials like TPE, silicon and EDPM.

Production

The conventional edge protection profile has a punched metal carrier coated with pvc or tpe and is formed into the wanted shape.

Our new technolohy is a PVC profile that has a plastic carrier which is coated during the extrusion of the product.

Our modern manufacturing production and a wide choice of different granulates allows us to
produce high-quality products on our modern production equipment (for instance, for FDA-
approved contact).

Hardness

TPE/ PVC-profiles are produced in a hardness range of 70-80 degrees. Hardness is measured
in Shore A (mostly +/-5 degrees). Qualities outside this range can be produced on demand.
With its characteristic, TPE/PVC-profiles serve as a perfect material for sealing.

Variety of colours

Generally, all profiles are delivered in black- similarly to RAL 7021.

Almost all RAL-colours can be produced in PVC/TPE, but black, grey and white belong to our
basic granulates that we always have in stock.

Profiles finishing to frames, rings and lengths- cutting cords

All profiles are packed in defined lengths, coils and bundles. Achim Pellen Dichtungstechnik can deliver nearly every length ready for assembly. We glue larger rings and rectangular frames by the use of cyanacrylate glue or we connect them by the use of hot vulcanisation.
